This Privacy Policy explains how Trivox VPN ("Trivox", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our VPN applications and related services (the "Service").
1. Summary
- We operate a WireGuard-based VPN to encrypt and route your device traffic through our servers.
- We do not log the contents of your browsing activity, DNS queries, or destination websites.
- We collect the minimum account and operational data needed to provision tunnels, authenticate sessions, and maintain the Service.
2. Data we collect
| Category | Examples | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Account data | Anonymous guest ID, display name, plan tier; optional email/password if you register | Authentication, subscription tier, support |
| WireGuard credentials | Client public key, private key (generated on our server at provisioning time), preshared key, assigned VPN IP | Establish and maintain your encrypted tunnel |
| Session metadata | Selected region/server, connection start time, assigned exit IP, active session state | Server selection, capacity planning, troubleshooting |
| Device / app data | Auth tokens stored in platform secure storage; app settings (DNS mode, obfuscation preference) | Local session persistence and user preferences |
| Technical logs | API request errors, server health checks, rate-limit events (not traffic payload) | Security, abuse prevention, reliability |
3. WireGuard key generation
When you request a VPN configuration, our backend currently generates your WireGuard keypair and returns the private key to the app over TLS. The key is stored locally in your device's secure storage (Keychain, Keystore, etc.). We retain the public key and peer configuration on our VPN servers for as long as your account is active or until keys are rotated.
4. Guest sessions
The app may sign you in automatically as an anonymous guest. Guest accounts receive a random internal identifier and token pair. No email is required. Guest data is stored in our database until you reset your session, delete your account, or we purge inactive accounts (see Retention).
5. What we do not collect
- We do not monitor or store a log of websites you visit.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use third-party advertising SDKs in the Trivox VPN app.
6. VPN traffic
Your internet traffic is encrypted between your device and our VPN servers using WireGuard. We process traffic only to forward it to its destination. We do not inspect packet payloads for profiling or advertising.
7. Third parties
- Infrastructure providers — VPS/hosting for VPN nodes (data processed as subprocessors).
- Google Fonts — The app may download font files from Google when rendering UI typography (no account linkage by us).
- Apple / Google — If you purchase a subscription through the App Store or Play Store, payment is handled by the platform; we receive purchase status, not full payment card details.
8. Retention
- Active session records: until disconnect or account deletion.
- WireGuard peer configs: until key rotation, account deletion, or 90 days after last activity (whichever comes first).
- Refresh tokens: 30 days or until logout.
- Server error logs: up to 30 days.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location (including GDPR/UK GDPR), you may request access, correction, deletion, or portability of your personal data. In the Trivox app, open Settings → Delete my data to permanently remove your guest account and VPN data from our servers, or contact us below.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
